Bentonville, AR - Tomorrow, Thursday, May 31st, WakeUpWalMart.com, America’s campaign to change Wal-Mart, will announce a new strategic phase in the group’s grassroots effort to make Wal-Mart a better company and employer.
The announcement, which will be posted on the WakeUpWalMart.com website at 11:00AM CST, just preceding Wal-Mart’s Annual Media Days Conference in Bentonville, AR, will unveil a dramatic new “Summer Blitz” initiative, including both media and grassroots efforts, in the movement to change Wal-Mart. Also at 11:00AM CST, as part of the group’s growing grassroots effort, which now stands at nearly 373,000 supporters, WakeUpWalMart.com will unveil a dramatic new redesign of the website with improved functionality and visuals.
WakeUpWalMart.com will also release a new strategy memo, entitled “2007 WUWM Summer Strategy: Winning Over Wal-Mart’s Core Customer” that will lay out the logic and purpose of this ambitious new strategic focus.
As part of the announcement, Paul Blank, Campaign Director for WakeUpWalMart.com and Chris Kofinis, Communications Director for WakeUpWalMart.com, will be available to the press to discuss the new strategic focus and “Summer Blitz” in the Clarion Hotel Lobby from 11:00AM to 11:45AM CST and from 3:30PM to 4:15PM CST.
