Know Your Rights
Wal-Mart Workers of America is being formed in response to a recent internal memo where Wal-Mart executives recommended Wal-Mart use more part-time associates, get rid of associates with seniority, push spouses off of health care, cut life insurance, not hire "unhealthy" or obese workers, and much more.

You have many rights as an employee of Wal-Mart. Here is some more information on the rights you have as an employee of Wal-Mart.

Have your hours been cut? You may qualify for unemployment compensation, even though you still work at Wal-Mart, if your hours or schedule have been cut. Click here to learn how to contact your state's unemployment office to tell them what has happened and to see if you qualify.

Have you worked before clocking in, after clocking out, or worked through unpaid breaks? If so, Wal-Mart owes you for this time.

Have you been discriminated against? Wal-Mart must treat you equally regardless of your age, your disability, your gender, the color of your skin, or your religion.

Have you been locked in the store at night during re-stocking? Have you been forced to lift heavy boxes? It is the responsibility of Wal-Mart to assure that you have safe working conditions.

Have you been injured on the job? If you have been injured, you may qualify for Worker’s Compensation Insurance.

Are you afraid of losing your job because you need to take time off of work to care for a sick family member? Do you have a new child in your family that you requires you to be home? Learn your rights!
